Thor Movie List
Thor was first introduced to the big screen as an American Superhero in 2011, produced by Marvel studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). And since then Thor has been returning to the screen with different stories, casts and makers. Here is Thor Movie List for all MCU lovers out there.
1. Thor (2011)
In order to wage war against the Frost Giants, the tremendous warrior Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is, by his own father Odin (Sir Anthony Hopkins), cast out from Asgard and sent down to earth. With no way back, and his hammer Mj lnir lost, Thor struggles to take hold of his powers. Meanwhile, on Asgard, Thor’s devious older brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) had seized the throne and seeks to help himself while disparaging Thor’s abilities.
Thor takes a lot of risks, and most of them pay off. The movie strictly depicts a genuine atmosphere, but enters the realm of fantasy to produce a mythical and thought-provoking film.
2. Thor: The Dark World (2013)
One year later, Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston’s) catastrophic attack of New York City by alien beings the defeat of the Mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), along with his friends Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) and the Warriors Three, to save the Nine Realms from fearsome threats. When Thor’s girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) discovers the liquid weapon called the Aether, she inadvertently awakens the darkness Mal.
It has the best story and acting of any Marvel film to date. Loki is particularly excellent as Hiddleston’s counterpart. Characters from prior Asgard-related movies are seen, but due great writing, are more interesting and three-dimensional today. This is one of the films that may have benefitted from a few extra minutes.
3. Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Compelled away on the other side of the planet, the powerful Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a gladiatorial contest against his one-time companion and fellow Avenger, The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Thor’s quest to survive leads him to a race against time to stop the powerful Hel (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home and his Asgardian homeland.
The action and comedy in this film were done so perfectly that you failed to notice the issues with this movie, if there even were any in the first place! Thor defeated his adversaries using suited new buddies of his, and there’s plenty of fun to be had from his fight scenes. It was a fun time seeing it in the theater!
4. Thor: End of Days (2020)
Thor End of Days concerns Thor’s ongoing conflict with Loki, and Loki’s insatiable yearning to control humanity. As soon as Loki escapes Asgard intent on conquering humanity, only Thor, the God Of Thunder, has the strength to stop him and prevent the very end of time.
This is not intended to be analogous to a 2nd making of a story starring Thor, which goes back to God of Thunder (2015). Two films have the same story line, they are just repackaged for a different target audience. Although it was considerably lower than the original Marvel’s film budget, it’s not as bad as they rate it. So you can give it a shot if you give it a try.
5. Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
The seemingly golden age of the gods is aborted by Gorr the God Butcher, who wants to bring down the gods. Thor, who sacrifices his retirement, summons Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster to combat the threat. But at which point, do Thor’s enemies control Mjolnir – the weapon with which he apparently came into this world? Thor accordingly launches a cumulative cosmos-spanning adventure to restore the hammer and prevent gods from entering their ruins.
The film does not successfully handle the expectations of a good sequel. The Director relies too much on childish and unnecessary humor. Christian Bale’s character is weak for the most part. Zeus is a tad underplayed in the movie. Thor contributes some entertainment to the story, but it doesn’t help the film at all.
6. Thor: God of Thunder (2022)
Loki’s evil uncle, Heimdall, broke out of Asgard to find the Divine Trident, also known as the Tree of the Nine Realms. The Trident has such immense power that no one could understand. With the help of Fenrir, Loki plans to steal the Trident and replant it in his image to wield authority over all of reality. Thor now has to track Loki to the Earth planet that the two of them will see in battle.
While still rough by normal standards, judged by Asylum standards, the Thor God of Thunder is not bad by any means. It’s one of the better films they’ve done in quite a while, and their fans should be pleased. More casual viewers will enjoy it for the aerobatic style at which it circulates throughout the film.
